Sonoma Impressions: Photo Exhibit at Cafe Zarah

One of my favorite non-doctor pastimes has always been photography, and I’m pleased to announce my first solo show in China: an exhibition at Cafe Zarah this October. Cafe Zarah, east of the northern tip of Nanluoguxiang on Gulou, is well known to many expats, and owner Julia has an excellent monthly collection of art.

My exhibition is called Sonoma Impressions; it’s a collection of my best abstract photographs from my wonderful years in Sonoma wine country, just north of San Francisco. The show runs from October 2nd to November 4th; people are welcome to come to the opening at 6pm on October 2nd.

My readers are also welcome to see my portfolio on my website.

Here is the exhibition’s artist statement:

“Sonoma Impressions” is a collection of abstract photographs by Richard Saint Cyr. It explores the deeper patterns in Sonoma county, above San Francisco, one of the world’s most beautiful regions. These photos, while initially beautiful to the eye, slowly reveal hidden details which leave a longer impression for viewers.”
