I’m thankful to those that helped out my survey voicing opinions as to how to improve this website. You can still fill the survey if you like, but here’s the data so far.
Question 1: What Are Your Top Expat Health Issues?
Most people seem interested in the big public health topics of air quality and food safety. That makes sense, as these are indeed big topics of uncertainty here, with a local situation likely very different from people’s home countries. Other topics are more generic health issues like children’s health, nutrition and exercise. One write-in comment mentioned cancer.
Question 2: What Topics Would You Like Reviewed More Often?
Again, local environmental issues like food and air quality were most requested. That’s good, because those topics are interesting for me as well! Also, I’m glad people also want to hear more about Chinese medicine and health care, and I will spend more time on this as well. I also agree that prevention of disease can be discussed in more detail.
