Did you know that suicide is the #1 cause of death in young Chinese? This week on EZFM’s Beijing Hour, host Paul James and I discuss the alarming rate of suicides and stress in China’s youth. We also talk about the medical phenomenon of the placebo effect, where a person takes a “fake” pill but still benefits as if it were a real pill. The podcast is an easy 5 minutes long, as usual. Feel free to leave comments below after you listen.

You can always listen to the Beijing Hour on EZFM 91.5, which is broadcast from 7-8am every weekday by host Paul James. EZFM is the popular bilingual radio station on the CRI Radio network, broadcasting here in Beijing and on multiple stations all over the world, as well as live online here.

  1. Was hoping to listen to this podcast, but it results in “file not found” when I click to play and “page not found” if I “click here”
Is that because I’m trying to listen from the States? or has your podcast been removed because it was unflattering? Just wondering.
