Link: Interest in organic food on the rise in China – Los Angeles Times.

Hopefully most expats have discovered Lohao City, the organic food store with seven local branches. I was thrilled to discover it two years ago and instantly felt right at home (earthy-crunchy San Francisco). It was, by far, the most well thought out collection of organic foods in Beijing, and has really catalyzed awareness of organics, both for expats and locals. I always get my greens from Lohao in a weekly food run, as I personally feel uncomfortable with the quality of other farms. The LA Times has the above article discussing Lohao as well as the current state of organics in China.
